On 25 February 2022, the Scientific Committee for the Future of Europe held its meeting session, via videoconference, in connection with the Sala Nigra of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The Scientific Committee took stock of the Conference progress at EU and national level. As the political closure of the democratic participation process (9 May 2022) is now approaching, the possibility (or opportunity) to continue the activities after that deadline was discussed during the meeting, also to enable implementing the recommendations stemming from citizen-centred processes.
