"The new Eurobarometer data published today by the European Parliament are very encouraging. Trust, approval and a sense of belonging to the EU are increasing among Italians," Undersecretary Amendola wrote on Facebook. This is mainly thanks to the EU's response to the health and socio-economic crisis. However, the Undersecretary warned, "Let's speed up the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, a great opportunity that must be turned into real projects for change."

Club of Venice – Autumn Plenary 2021
On 2 and 3 December 2021, the Department organised the autumn session of the Club of Venice, which brought together, in person and remotely, over 80 institutional representatives and public communication experts from all European countries. The topics on the agenda were the Conference on the Future of Europe, public communication related to COVID-19, the management of recovery plans, and climate change.

"The COVID-19 has brought us to decisions that invest not only the ancient values of our Union but also fundamental choices for our future", said Minister Amendola in his opening speech. "Communication is crucial to withstand the impact of these major challenges".
